Once inside you will bathe in its intricate beauty and unique charm. A quick lift from the quay to the Upper Barrakka will place you right on the doorstep of the Prime Minister. From there.. the mysterious and storied streets of Valletta await you.
Mdina - The Silent City with a loud history
The ancient capital of Malta, the famous Silent City of Mdina is in the centre of the island and a short drive away from the cruise port. Overlooking fertile farmland, the old capital was home to many of Malta’s noble families, whose mansions and palazzos can still be seen on a stroll through the city. Many Hollywood movies and award-winning TV shows have been set in its remarkable environs, notably the first series of Game of Thrones.

These belong to the three cities, a perfect place in which to absorb the relaxed ambience of Maltese life and to sample its culinary delights. We particularly recommend a walk to Gardjola Tower, a historic 16th century watchtower set in the delightful Gardjola Gardens.
