With over 7000 years of history, Malta is a unique destination to choose – offering not only a journey back in time but also sunny weather as it benefits from over 300 sunny days a year! Malta’s airport is connected to all the main European and Middle Eastern hubs and the distance from the airport to the hotel will take always less than 45 minutes. The combintation of valuable sights, weather and logistical advantages make Malta a versitile destination for corporate groups who may have less time available for their trips. What gives malta diversity and flexibility for groups?

Everything is within very close proximity, which gives us the opportunity to include multiple elements to a program within a day of activities, and still be in time to rest before an evening activity or dinner. This would also apply during or a 2-3 night program, or a 2-3 conference. Most importantly everyone speaks English, it is in fact considered to be am official language alongside the local national Maltese language, which is a unique blend of Sematic, Latin and Anglo Saxon. We are otherwise Mediterranean is our mannerisms and mentality which gives that more relaxed Island feel.

What can Malta offer to a MICE group that differs from other destinations?

Unlike other European countries, Malta hosts diverse fortresses around the harbour of very high historical value/importance built by the Order of St. John’s, who changed the faces of the islands and turned them cosmopolitan. Most of these fortresses and historical buildings can host gala dinners, lunches, and corporate events – and with use of themed décor (both traditional and branded to one’s company) this can turn these events into memorable experiences. This concentration of unique locations within 316sq km makes our Islands pretty unique. As UNESCO puts it our capital Valletta’s 320 monuments, all within an area of 55 ha, make it one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world.

What is the best time for corporate groups to visit Malta?

Typically we recemmend March–June & September–November to be ideal for cultural and incentives groups due to the pleasant weather, while we avoid July–August being the peak holiday season, unless the program is more focused on sea activities, relaxation and evening activities to avoid the heat. Pricing for hotels in peak season will natuarally be at its highest while the outer months of the spring and autumn (March & November) would provide most value.

Our winter which spans from around end November till February, is excellent for conferences and mild-weather escapes.
