June in Malta marks the start of summer in full swing. Bringing longer days, warmer nights and a dynamic calendar of festivals. From immersive arts experiences to open-air music events and beachside parties, the island offers a diverse mix of culture and entertainment throughout the month.

Malta International Arts Festival (12–21 June)

Abode on the Rock (18–22 June)

An electronic music event in Malta featuring house and techno DJs, beach and pool parties and club nights. It attracts an international crowd for a multi-day party experience combining music, sunshine and nightlife across several venues.

Looking at the more religious side of events, there is also Mnarja Festival (29 June). Mnarja (L-Imnarja) is one of Malta’s oldest traditional feasts, celebrated at the end of June in Buskett Gardens.

It combines food, folklore and community traditions. Think local dishes (especially rabbit), folk singing, and even horse and donkey races. It’s a great addition if you want to highlight authentic Maltese culture.
